EFFICIENT COOLING & REFRIGERATION PLATFORM - ECORE

Conventional cooling systems and controllers do not emphasize energy efficiency.  Even chiller system controllers that claim to reduce energy use, do not take a holistic approach to energy savings. Our proprietary and patented technology, developed in 2010, focuses on the supply side of the energy system. OEM’s ECORE platform includes representation of the detailed performance characteristics of the chillers (as specified in ARI-certified part load values published by chiller manufacturers) and the appropriate refrigerants properties.  

ECORE then uses our proprietary algorithm to optimize the energy supply system by dynamically determining and optimizing system parameters - such as the condensing temperature, compressor inlet and outlet pressures, multiple chiller loading, etc. - taking into account the performance characteristics of the compressors, pumps, fans, and cooling towers. Focusing on the supply side eliminates the vagaries of human factors for the long-term viability of the savings.

ECORE is perfect for facilities with large cooling loads, cooling costs that account for 30% or more of total energy costs, and annual operating hours in excess of 4000. Examples include:

Pricing Model
The basic ECORE pricing model is the Software as a Service (SaaS) licensing model in which you will realize immediate savings with no upfront capital costs, and the monthly or quarterly license fees are less than the savings achieved. We also offer a turnkey implementation model. With a one-time payment providing a two to three-year payback.

Non-Intrusive Implementation
The ECORE platform adds on to the existing equipment/system and represents a totally non-intrusive retrofit. It requires no interruption of facility operations and therefore no compromise in any operational and safety features or user comfort.

Remote MonitoringOur remote monitoring interface displays system configuration, shows operating conditions of all equipment, summarizes performance characteristics, provides alerts of operations outside tolerance levels, allows for identification of operating issues, and facilitates troubleshooting and repairs.

Flexible Interface
OEM controllers can be interfaced through communication protocols with an existing Building Management System (BMS) or Human Machine Interface (HMI) of any make and model.

Automated Response
Once ECORE identifies the correct operating parameters, it functions independent of human intervention. The system will provide alerts of any issues that may degrade operating efficiency and recommend corrective actions to ensure ongoing effective performance.

 

Pricing Model

We offer the SaaS model that has the following characteristics:

  • An initial fee based on any hardware such as sensors that are acquired and installed in the customer facility.
  • A monthly, quarterly or annual license fee that includes maintenance, support & upgrades. 
  • 3 to 5-year initial agreement; renewable at customer option.
  • License payments structured to be substantially less than the cost savings achieved.

An optional Turnkey pricing model is also available. Under this customer option, there is a one-time payment upon implementation, commissioning and verification of savings.
